I would argue here (any plan to in a scheduled post for a future date) that the medium is not the message and that PPT is not the problem but the way in which people use it is. Any tool of instruction can be used well or poorly and it is all dependent on the skill of the user.
Too much dependence is definitely an issue, but that’s a teacher issue not a powerpoint issue.
Currently, there are far too many colleagues that depend on the use of powerpoint. In my opinion, your own subject knowledge is key.
